Explore with Pulumi AI
The gitlab.InstanceVariable
resource allows to manage the lifecycle of an instance-level CI/CD variable.

InstanceVariable Resource Properties
To learn more about resource properties and how to use them, see Inputs and Outputs in the Architecture and Concepts docs.
Inputs
In Python, inputs that are objects can be passed either as argument classes or as dictionary literals.
The InstanceVariable resource accepts the following input properties:
- Key string
- The name of the variable.
- Value string
- The value of the variable.
- Description string
- The description of the variable. Maximum of 255 characters.
- Masked bool
- If set to
true
, the value of the variable will be hidden in job logs. The value must meet the masking requirements. Defaults tofalse
. - Protected bool
- If set to
true
, the variable will be passed only to pipelines running on protected branches and tags. Defaults tofalse
. - Raw bool
- Whether the variable is treated as a raw string. Default: false. When true, variables in the value are not expanded.
- Variable
