    Provides a License Manager association.

    Note: License configurations can also be associated with launch templates by specifying the license_specifications block for an aws.ec2.LaunchTemplate.

    Example Usage

    import * as pulumi from "@pulumi/pulumi";
    import * as aws from "@pulumi/aws";

    const example = aws.ec2.getAmi({
        mostRecent: true,

        filters: [{
            name: "name",
            values: ["amzn-ami-vpc-nat*"],
        }],
    });
    const exampleInstance = new aws.ec2.Instance("example", {
        ami: example.then(example => example.id),
        instanceType: aws.ec2.InstanceType.T2_Micro,

    Create Association Resource

    Resources are created with functions called constructors. To learn more about declaring and configuring resources, see Resources.

    Constructor syntax

    new Association(name: string, args: AssociationArgs, opts?: CustomResourceOptions);
    @overload
    def Association(resource_name: str,

    Constructor example

    The following reference example uses placeholder values for all input properties.

    var associationResource = new Aws.LicenseManager.Association("associationResource", new()
    {
        LicenseConfigurationArn = "string",
        ResourceArn = "string",
    });

    example, err := licensemanager.NewAssociation(ctx, "associationResource", &licensemanager.AssociationArgs{
    	LicenseConfigurationArn: pulumi.String("string"),
    	ResourceArn:             pulumi.String("string"),
    })

    var associationResource = new Association("associationResource", AssociationArgs.builder()
        .licenseConfigurationArn("string")
        .resourceArn("string")
        .build());

    association_resource = aws.licensemanager.Association("associationResource",
        license_configuration_arn="string",
        resource_arn="string")

    const associationResource = new aws.licensemanager.Association("associationResource", {
        licenseConfigurationArn: "string",
        resourceArn: "string",
    });

    type: aws:licensemanager:Association
    properties:
        licenseConfigurationArn: string
        resourceArn: string

    Association Resource Properties

    To learn more about resource properties and how to use them, see Inputs and Outputs in the Architecture and Concepts docs.

    Inputs

    In Python, inputs that are objects can be passed either as argument classes or as dictionary literals.

    The Association resource accepts the following input properties:

    LicenseConfigurationArn string
    ARN of the license configuration.
    ResourceArn string
    ARN of the resource associated with the license configuration.
    LicenseConfigurationArn string
    ARN of the license configuration.
    ResourceArn string
    ARN of the resource associated with the license configuration.
    licenseConfigurationArn String
    ARN of the license configuration.
    resourceArn String
    ARN of the resource associated with the license configuration.
    licenseConfigurationArn string
    ARN of the license configuration.
    resourceArn string
    ARN of the resource associated with the license configuration.
    license_configuration_arn str
    ARN of the license configuration.
    resource_arn str
    ARN of the resource associated with the license configuration.
    licenseConfigurationArn String
    ARN of the license configuration.
    resourceArn String
    ARN of the resource associated with the license configuration.

    Outputs

    All input properties are implicitly available as output properties. Additionally, the Association resource produces the following output properties:

    Id string
    The provider-assigned unique ID for this managed resource.
    Id string
    The provider-assigned unique ID for this managed resource.
    id String
    The provider-assigned unique ID for this managed resource.
    id string
    The provider-assigned unique ID for this managed resource.
    id str
    The provider-assigned unique ID for this managed resource.
    id String
    The provider-assigned unique ID for this managed resource.

    Look up Existing Association Resource

    Get an existing Association resource’s state with the given name, ID, and optional extra properties used to qualify the lookup.

    public static get(name: string, id: Input<ID>, state?: AssociationState, opts?: CustomResourceOptions): Association
    @staticmethod
    def get(resource_name: str,
            id: str,
            opts: Optional[ResourceOptions] = None,
            license_configuration_arn: Optional[str] = None,
            resource_arn: Optional[str] = None) -> Association
    func GetAssociation(ctx *Context, name string, id IDInput, state *AssociationState, opts ...ResourceOption) (*Association, error)
    public static Association Get(string name, Input<string> id, AssociationState? state, CustomResourceOptions? opts = null)
    public static Association get(String name, Output<String> id, AssociationState state, CustomResourceOptions options)

    Import

    Using pulumi import, import license configurations using resource_arn,license_configuration_arn. For example:

    $ pulumi import aws:licensemanager/association:Association example arn:aws:ec2:eu-west-1:123456789012:image/ami-123456789abcdef01,arn:aws:license-manager:eu-west-1:123456789012:license-configuration:lic-0123456789abcdef0123456789abcdef
